The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day repair, maintenance, and installation of the building's mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment that supports both the operation and maintenance of the Facilities team. All conditions affecting building services, life safety of the guest, and aquatic Life. The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate the daily work schedule of the team with the Directors of Operations and Maintenance for scheduling tasks that occur across the three shifts.

Position Overview
The Seattle Aquarium, a leading marine conservation organization, is looking for a Life Support Systems Technician (LSS Tech II or Senior Tech, depending on knowledge, skill and experience) to join the Engineering team in the Facilities and Operations department. LSS Technicians are responsible for the operation, maintenance, design or repair (depending on level of role) and optimization of aquatic life support systems to ensure they function efficiently, sustainably and in alignment with the Aquarium’s standards for animal welfare and safety. Reporting to the LSS Supervisor, this role supports the structural integrity of habitats, contributes to system improvements and capital projects, and plays a key role in maintaining exhibit health through proper water quality and mechanical system performance.

Position Summary
The Engineering Technician (Exhibit Carpenter) is responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of exhibit interactives, signage, lighting, and other display elements. This role ensures that exhibits, tools, and equipment remain organized and in optimal working condition. Key responsibilities include assisting the Exhibit and Life-Support Engineering team with exhibit fabrication and installation, as well as regular exhibit upkeep tasks. The technician will also be accountable for maintaining all building surfaces such as plaster, drywall, millwork, and carpentry, and may be assigned to maintenance or life-support system projects as needed. The ideal candidate must have the ability to fabricate and repair acrylic, frame both metal and wood stud walls, and accurately read and interpret blueprints.
